Quality Management (QM)
Background/Overview: The Indianapolis Transitional Grant Area (TGA) is a ten county geographic area that has been disproportionately affected by HIV/AIDS. The Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Modernization Act of 2006 requires that all Ryan White grantees establish and maintain a quality management program to ensure access to primary HIV care that is consistent with the most recent Public Health Service guidelines; to assure that receipt of such services result in an improvement of health outcomes and quality of life; and to encourage and promote substantive consumer involvement in maintaining the quality management process.
To complement existing quality-related activities such as outcomes evaluation, standards of care and fiscal and programmatic monitoring, the QM Program of the Ryan White HIV Services Program conducts clinical and supportive service chart review activities as well as client satisfaction surveys. In addition, the QM Program works in collaboration with the Program’s Project and Training Coordinator to ensure adherence to the local Indianapolis TGA Standards of Care, developed by the Planning Council, and the National Monitoring Standards. The Indianapolis Transitional Grant Area Quality Management Plan 2018 - 2019 (Revised) is here.
